Biography

Avanthika serves as a Policy Analyst at Healthsperien, where she supports clients across multiple concurrent projects touching 340B, Medicaid and long-term care programs, behavioral health, and federal legislative and regulatory developments. She conducts policy research and legislative tracking, analyzes proposed and enacted federal and state policy changes, and helps translate those changes into actionable insight for clients navigating the health policy landscape.

Her experience spans pharmaceutical market access, drug pricing policy, and Medicaid managed long-term services and supports. She believes that closing the gap between complex policy change and the people it affects requires research that is both rigorous and grounded in how clients actually operate day to day. She excels at translating shifting federal and state policy landscapes into practical guidance clients can act on.

Prior to Healthsperien, Avanthika worked in patient assistance at Genentech, in legislative advocacy at the Kidney Cancer Association, and in policy analysis roles at the Alliance for Civic Engagement and APS and Associates. She also brings prior clinical experience as a pediatric medical assistant, which informs her perspective on how policy translates into patient-facing care.
 
Avanthika obtained her Master of Science in Law (MSL) from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, with concentrations in Health Law, Regulatory Strategy, and Intellectual Property. She focused her undergraduate studies on Neuroscience and earned her Bachelor of Arts from Reed College.
