A recent episode of CBS Evening News “Eye on America” focused a national spotlight on the public epidemic of social isolation and loneliness among older adults and the importance of federal funding to support evidence-based models to address it, including intergenerational programming.

The piece, which aired July 16, 2025, featured Healthsperien Managing Partner Andrew MacPherson, who founded and serves as Founder & Executive Chairman of the Foundation for Social Connection ACTION NETWORK, a coalition of over 60 national organizations advocating for federal policies to address the public health epidemic across the lifespan.
