John Mach, MD

Dr. Mach, a geriatrician with 40 years of clinical and business leadership experience, is the Founder and General Manager of Mach Health Care Strategies providing consulting services to entities serving high-needs, high-risk populations.  

John spent 13 years as CEO and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Evercare, UnitedHealth Group’s award-winning division and the country’s largest private sector entity serving frail elderly and people with disabilities.  He currently serves as Senior Advisor for Healthsperien, a nationally recognized health care consulting firm and as CMO at Ceresti Health, a technology-enabled platform supporting family caregivers.  

Previously he has served as CMO at Medica Health Plans and held CMO positions at Evolent, UnitedHealth Group’s Medicare division and XL Health.  John was also the President of Complex Care Management at Univita, an integrated and risk-bearing home care services company serving people nationally.  As of June 2022, John is the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the John A. Hartford Foundation of New York, the country’s oldest and largest private philanthropic funder of geriatrics research and education.

He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Minnesota, where he did his Internal Medicine in a Residency.
