Weston Schmutz is a pharmacist with over a decade of community pharmacy experience. He completed a post-doctoral research fellowship in healthcare economics and outcomes. During his fellowship he developed a passion for the policy implications involved with healthcare decision making.
Currently, Weston serves as the Pharmacy Policy and Business Fellow at Healthsperien where he summarizes governing guidance related to implementation of laws regarding healthcare, with a focus on determining and explaining what implies to pharmacies. He also develops research models for assessing those policy implications.
Weston is also involved with the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, currently serving as the Legislative Chair for the Mountain West AMCP chapter. Where he helps educate pharmacists on the yearly legislative changes to pharmacy practice and pharmacists.
