Biography
Chamiere brings almost 8 years of collaborative corporate experience in federal healthcare policy, particularly from a health plan perspective, with significant emphasis on Medicare Advantage, Medicaid Managed Care, dually eligible individuals, telehealth and policy approaches addressing health equity and social determinants of health.
She is currently a Senior Policy Director serving a variety of clients and partnership entities. Prior to joining Healthsperien, Chamiere served as a Director of Public Policy at AmeriHealth Caritas, where she led the Public Policy department’s federal affairs team and fostered a collaborative environment with business leaders and internal subject matter experts to provide needed policy support and manage the corporate federal regulatory comment development process for Medicare and Medicaid policies. During her time at AmeriHealth, she also managed relationships with various national trade associations, conveying company interests in policy workgroups and other initiatives, including active participation in Congressional Hill visits. Her involvement also included serving as Co-chair of the Integrated Care workgroup of the National MLTSS Association and as part of the Student Research Planning Committee for the National Conference on Health Disparities. Chamiere also represented AmeriHealth Caritas as a member of the Corporate Roundtable for the National Black Caucus of State Legislators.
Chamiere was an inaugural fellow in the CEO Action for Racial Equity Fellowship (CEOARE) from 2020 to 2022, where she worked with corporate professionals across a variety of industries towards the goal of advancing racial equity through public policy and corporate engagement strategies. Her efforts included collaborating with lawmakers, federal agencies, health plans, academic institutions, and providers to advocate for racial equity in rapidly evolving telehealth policies.
Chamiere holds a Master of Public Health from St. John’s University and a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Societies from the University of Pennsylvania, with a concentration in Global Health and a minor in International Development.
