Biography

Debbie McCarron is a dynamic leader with extensive expertise in strategic communications, marketing, stakeholder engagement, events and project management. Her work is deeply rooted in advancing health care policy and fostering meaningful collaborations to drive positive change.

Currently, Debbie serves as Associate Vice President of External Affairs at Healthsperien, where she provides strategic communications and operational support to the company and its nonprofit partners. She actively contributes to high-impact initiatives with partner organizations. In these roles, she ensures cohesive messaging, stakeholder engagement, event support, and operational excellence to further their missions.

Previously, Debbie served as Deputy Director of the Communication and Outreach Division at Ripple Effect, where she managed health care policy projects for federal agencies, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). As Project Director for the Health Care Payment Learning and Action Network (LAN), she led a multifaceted communications team, managed a significant annual budget, and coordinated stakeholder engagement efforts.

In addition to her corporate experience, Debra co-owned Quality Design Solutions, a company specializing in web design, marketing, and database development for nonprofits and small businesses. She also played a pivotal role in expanding a small community business from one location to three, managing operations such as budgeting, human resources, and marketing.

A Maryland native, Debbie, earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Tech and has completed coursework in Instructional Systems Design at the University of Maryland at Baltimore. She is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America, the Association for Talent Development, and the Society for Health Communication.
