At the helm of Capital Caring Health (CCH), Tom Koutsoumpas assumes the role of Chairman of the Board, steering one of the foremost not-for-profit providers of advanced illness care, primary care at home, and palliative and hospice care services. Operating across Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, CCH stands as a beacon of compassionate care delivery under his leadership.

In addition to his role at CCH, Tom serves as the CEO of the National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI), a unique organization uniting over 90 hospice and advanced illness care providers. Through NPHI, Tom and his fellow members deliver vital care to thousands of patients and families daily, underlining their shared commitment to ensuring that care is centered around the individual and not dictated by corporate interests.

Tom’s influence extends further as the co-founder and co-chair of the Coalition to Transform Advanced Care (C-TAC), an entity dedicated to improving the lives of individuals grappling with serious illnesses. Through advocacy, advisory roles, and coalition-building efforts, C-TAC strives to champion policies that enhance access, equity, and overall quality of life for those affected by such illnesses.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Tom remains deeply engaged in initiatives aimed at addressing mental health challenges. As a Co-Founder and Board Member of ACT NOW for Mental Health, he works tirelessly to expand access to mental health services and combat the stigma surrounding mental and behavioral health issues, particularly within historically underserved communities.
